Who We Are

Blessed Be! Welcome to the Circle of the Mystical Forest. We are a community of Pagans in the Omaha Metro Area. We are not affiliated with any official religious organization or tradition of witchcraft that includes initiation. We seek to be inclusive and respect all traditions of magic, witchcraft, paganism, heathenry, or any system of belief - perhaps even no beliefs at all! We are seeking to build a community not built around a core set of doctrines - but a community that gathers together for shared rites and rituals that honor the changing of the seasons, celestial events, and the god/s of your own choosing. In short, we are honoring nature and building a community that is oriented toward that goal.

Our Charter (So Far):

1. We have no affiliation with an organized witchcraft tradition.

2. We keep no secrets. Our rites, practices and beliefs are open knowledge. Keeping magical practices under wraps is an extension of a time when magic was taboo. We are no longer living in such an era. We can be who we are, in the open.

3. We are non-political. Pagans, like all groups of human beings, come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are forming a community to honor the earth, the gods, and nature itself. We are not a political mouthpiece. We gather together as many for one goal - ritual. We ask that politics be left at the door.

Ritual Schedule

We have chosen to adopt an inclusive pagan model of yearly ritual structured around the wheel of the year. New moon and Full moon rituals are also included. The Wheel of the Year is divided into eight Sabbats, or celebrations, that honor the specific time of year. Primarily the four seasons of Fall (Mabon), Winter (Yule), Spring (Ostara), and Summer (Litha). The quarter points between these main seasons are also celebrated, giving us the eight primary Sabbats. Our Rituals are ever changing and developing, but the primary structure is based around traditional wiccan rituals. We DO NOT practice skyclad. Though an honored tradition, it will not be a part of our practice.

GENERAL RITUAL STRUCTURE

1. Grounding Meditation

2. Casting a Circle

3. Calling the Quarters

4. Specific ritual intention or magical purposes

5. A shared communal meal of cakes and wine

6. Closing the circle.

Seekers

We are currently seeking any new members of good will to inquire regarding joining us for our rituals and community. Naturally, due to space and resources we must be conscious of how many people we can accommodate. We are inclusive and welcoming, but we do have our boundaries.

1. You must be open to pagan ideas and veneration of nature. Your personal religious beliefs are your own, but we share ritual practice communally.

2. We practice as equals. We are not seeking a priest/priestess to lead us or be a guru.

3. Have good intentions. Be a good human being - no assholes, please.

4. Reach out to us first via email and we will communicate as to what we may offer vs. what you are looking for to see if we would be a good mutual fit.
